Terms of Service

Effective May 4, 2026  ·  Updated May 4, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ConvictionRemoval.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by Spindler Law, an Indiana law firm with its principal office at 112 N. Main Street, Princeton, Indiana 47670.

2. About the Service

ConvictionRemoval.com provides three categories of services regarding Indiana criminal-record expungement. Only Tier 3 is an attorney service. Tiers 1 and 2 are software products with no attorney involvement.

  • Tier 1 — Eligibility Analysis Software ($99): a software application that takes information you enter and produces a written eligibility report based on Indiana statutes. Tier 1 is NOT a legal service. No attorney reviews your case.
  • Tier 2 — Self-Service Document Generation ($399): a software-based document assembly tool that produces filing-ready petition documents based on information you enter. Tier 2 is NOT a legal service. No attorney reviews your case or your documents.
  • Tier 3 — Attorney-Prepared Petition ($1,299): full attorney preparation, filing, and a 30-minute Zoom consultation. This is the ONLY tier that includes attorney services. Tier 3 is a limited-scope legal engagement under Indiana Rule of Professional Conduct 1.2(c) and is governed by a separate Engagement Agreement.

3. Tiers 1 and 2 Are Software Products, Not Legal Advice

Tiers 1 and 2 are explicitly self-service software tools. By purchasing Tier 1 or Tier 2:

  • You acknowledge that no attorney-client relationship is formed;
  • You acknowledge that no attorney reviews your case or the documents produced;
  • You acknowledge that the report (Tier 1) and documents (Tier 2) are based solely on the information you enter;
  • You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter;
  • You are solely responsible for any decisions made based on the report;
  • You are solely responsible for filing, serving, and litigating any petition you produce.

If you are uncertain about any aspect of your eligibility or the documents produced, you should consult an attorney before filing — either by purchasing Tier 3 or hiring an attorney separately.

4. Disclaimer Regarding Legal Outcomes

Indiana expungement law is fact-specific. Courts have discretion. Prosecutors may object. Outcomes vary. Nothing on this Service guarantees that:

  • Your petition will be granted;
  • Any document produced will be accepted by a court without modification;
  • You are eligible for any specific form of relief;
  • The information presented will result in any particular legal outcome.

5. Eligibility to Use the Service

To use the Service, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old;
  • Have legal capacity to enter into binding agreements;
  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information;
  • Use the Service only for lawful purposes related to your own Indiana criminal records (or, for legal guardians, the records of those for whom you have legal authority).

6. Account and Information You Provide

You may be required to provide personal information including: name, contact information, criminal-history details, court case numbers, and related data. You agree that:

  • All information you provide is true and accurate to the best of your knowledge;
  • You will keep your information current;
  • You will not impersonate another person;
  • You will not use the Service to file information about another person without their authorization.

7. Fees and Payment

All fees are in U.S. Dollars. Payment is processed by Zoho Payments. We do not store your payment-card information. By submitting payment, you authorize the charge for the tier you select.

Refund policy is set forth in our Refund Policy, which is incorporated by reference.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Service — including text, graphics, logos, software, document templates, and the eligibility-analysis methodology — is owned by Spindler Law or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

When you purchase a tier, you receive a personal, non-transferable license to use the report and/or documents produced for your own legal matter. You may not distribute, resell, or provide them to others.

9. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to commit fraud or any unlawful act;
  • Provide false information about your identity or criminal history;
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of any software;
  • Scrape, crawl, or mass-download content from the Service;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service;
  • Use the Service to violate the rights of any third party.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

This Section does not limit our duties under Indiana Rules of Professional Conduct for the limited-scope legal services described in Section 2 (Tier 3 only).

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indiana law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service (other than for legal services governed by the Indiana Rules of Professional Conduct) will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or lost business opportunities, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, loss, or damage arising from: (a) information you provide that is false or inaccurate; (b) your use of any document or report produced by the Service; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of applicable law.

13. Privacy

Our collection and use of your information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

14. Modifications

We may modify these Terms at any time by posting the updated version on the Service. Material changes will be communicated to you by email or through the Service. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Gibson County, Indiana, and you consent to that jurisdiction.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
